Starting out/Zeta as a development platform?/Who needs help?
Hi there !
I discovered Haiku quite a while ago, and now that I've learnt a whole lot more of programming (I'm a computing student, in France), I'd really like to help out a little.
So first I'll have to put up a development environment. And I'd also like it to be usable with never hardware, WiFi, etc. so Zeta looks good, but is it possible to replace Zeta's modules to test Haiku's like it is possible with BeOS 5? If not, then I'll stick with BeOS Max 5 for developing, I guess.
Second question is : what area needs the most help? I'm not very skilled in C++ for now, but I know Java and Ada95 very well, a bit of C too, and I'm used to object-oriented toolkits, so I guess I'd be able to learn quite fast.
Maybe something not too big would be better for starters, I wouldn't break much that way :-)
So, what do you think ?
