Which Haiku components can be tested?

Hi,

I've downloaded the Haiku-distro from the Build-Factory and replaced all libs and servers from my BeOS Max installation with them. After that BeOS couldn't boot again ;-(

Which components of BeOS can be replaced by Haiku components without making the installation unbootable?

eeek ... well the components are ready for testing but please use a non-production install for this.

The Pref Apps can safely be run on BeOS as most of them work using existing configuration files or create their own.

As for the libs, I'd need someone else to comment on the progress of them.

Of course, I don't use Haiku on a productive machine, I've just replaced Linux with BeOS on my old Desktop ;-)

I've always wondered why modern OS' are eating up the hardware's performance until I found an old BeOS demo video by accident. After that, I've installed BeOS and now can't wait on Haiku R1 and its successors to give me a modern and fa
