Why isn't the UserGuide on Documents page?

Forum thread started by Socapex_2K on Mon, 2009-01-05 05:22

Title says it all. Why isn't the UserGuide (included in the "Welcome" link on Haiku Desktop) included on the Documents page. This is a must, for anybody starting off with haiku/beos. I certainly would have liked to see it on that page when I started off.

Re: UserGuide

Agreed.
The user guide is in the svn repository. It should be easy to keep the website synced with the svn repository and let visitors look at the user guide to get a better feel of Haiku.

This should be discussed on the haiku-web mailing list - or an enhancement ticket filed on Trac.

I don't know much about Trac enhancement tickets, but I will post a comment on the Haiku-Documentation mailing-list. If anything else can be done to get it on the Documents page, I think it would be important and also a first step to getting people involved and using Haiku.

You can go to http://dev.haiku-os.org/ - login or register there and create a "new ticket"

Re: UserGuide

Again with the mailing lists ... I hate mailing lists. Forums are so much easier and more powerful.
