[haiku-development] Re: Do we need a webstore for HaikuDepot to replace HaikuWare? (Dario Casalinuovo)

Development mailing list - Fri, 2015-05-15 11:45
The Ubuntu Software Center (which inspired HaikuDepot) has a web frontend which is aimed at end users. Could this help us make up for the loss of HaikuWare? on android, you click a link and HaikuDepot ask to install it. Maybe also a setting option to avoid non-haikudepot sw to be installed will be fine as a security feature. ...

Launch MediaPlayer by double-clicking an mp3 file and set the volume as desired.

Click in another window to continue working. MediaPlayer sets the volume lower. Click MediaPlayer to adjust the volume again, the volume returns to where it was set. Click another window and the volume is too low again.

fat: Fix corruption of file data with removed directory entries.

Source Activity - Thu, 2015-05-14 12:16
Directory entries are cached using the block cache, so the cached blocks need to be discarded when directories are removed/shrunk. Otherwise freed directory blocks that were reused for file data would later be clobbered when the block cache was flushed. The forced cache sync for removable media hid the problem for these devices. It was easily triggered on non-removable media however. Directory entries are cached using the block cache, so the cached blocks need to be discarded when directories are removed/shrunk.
