Ticket #12000 (Cross-building Haiku with Haiku host issues) created

Latest Bugs & Tasks - Wed, 2015-04-22 23:14

When trying to build an x86_64 Haiku image on a gcc2h Haiku host, I end up with an image that can't be booted by the haiku_loader. The error reported is "Version mismatch between boot loader and kernel!".
I'm failing to see anything obvious in the jam logs that would indicate a problem with how the files are compiled.
In order to build on Haiku, I use setarch x86 and run all commands in the gcc4 environment.

setarch x86
configure --build-cross-tools x86_64 ../buildtools --use-gcc-pipe -j4
jam -q -j4 @minimum-anyboot

I am also attaching a copy of the log generated by jam.

usb_hid: Let protocol handlers know of their closing.

Source Activity - Wed, 2015-04-22 21:22
On close a flag is set in the cookie of this user of a protocol handler and the device cancels its pending transfer. This wakes up any possible listeners. When the closed flag is set, an error code is returned from _ReadReport() which causes the retry loop to be left. Handlers listening on the same device which were not closed just retry the transfer. This ensures that closing a device will cause pending control requests to complete with a sensible error code. I think we can harmonize typographically the view and give a structure to the information.
I suggest the order:
