BLayout: Don't delete the layout of the view in RemoveView().

Source Activity - Sat, 2015-04-18 11:18
The layout item representing the layout of the view to be removed is owned by the view and must not be deleted. The layout only owns the item if a new layout item was created when adding the view, i.e. when it did not have a layout. Fixes the underlying issue that triggered #11976. [haiku-development] The next release (Richie Nyhus-Smith)

Development mailing list - Fri, 2015-04-17 18:45
Hi all, With the changes in circumstances which has arisen since it was decided to jump to beta1, does it still make sense to do this, or should we go back to aiming for an alpha for the next release? The idea was to have beta1 released in the 1st or 2nd quarter of this year, which realistically is not going to happen since we are already at the start of the 2nd quarter of this year. I also doubt a beta release will be ready by the end of this year, as there is no momentum towards working on ...

Ticket #11979 (Missing shortcuts in file panels) created

Latest Bugs & Tasks - Fri, 2015-04-17 07:38

This is hrev49043.

There are some keyboard shortcuts missing from the open/save file panels.

  • ALT+Up doesn't send you up one level to the parent folder.
  • ALT+W should close the panel.

I also happened upon some panels where ALT+H and ALT+D don't send you to Home and Desktop. It works on some apps and doesn't on others. StyledEdit is such a case where it doesn't work. In Pe on the other, it works...

2015-04-07 20:50 GMT+02:00 Dario Casalinuovo b.vitruvio@xxxxxxxxx: I don't have much experience with this code, I'll to try to answer with my understanding. A TODO in BBufferGroup #110 states that we should avoid to add more than one BBuffer::ID() to each group, but in SharedBufferList there's a function named _RequestBuffersInOtherGroups that find in the current list buffers with the same ID. i've guessed that it's a workaround and should be removed. ...
