Scott, I dont know at this point. I was studying the stack some months ago, but didnt get too far. Im going to get my BeOS test box up and running with our stack, and run some basic tests using the route, ping, and other command that we already have. Philippe was looking for a short report of my findings in doing this. I have access to many different machines and tools, so I can set up packet traces using Ethereal and the like... ...

Hi Brennan, something misterious is happening here. One more week of this kind and we have a full team running. :) If you find enough time, could you please send a small report what could be done successfully when using our netstack (ping, telnet, ftp, Net+)? Unfortunately, I do not have a network anymore (what am I doing here then? ;), thus I can only test PPP (which does not work...because of a bug in the netstack, I hope ;). Thank you and I wish to all of you a happy new year. ...

Hi, Brennan here. It's been awhile (my previous semester of school was demanding) but I'm back at it. I have many machines on a local network, and I plan to start debugging the stack again (not that I got that far before, but...) Also, I'm starting to write up a Getting Started document to help new developers: ...

Merry Christmas to you all (well, one day too late...). Thanks! I hope yours was great. How can I help? The route and traceroute commands do not work. I could need a simple tcpdump application to see if all PPP packets are sent correctly. ...

A little while ago you were razzing me about helping out with the networking stuff. The screen saver stuff is handled (hey Michael!), so I'm ready to start. :-) FYI: my networking experience is pretty much limited to writing ethernet drivers for switches (mostly layer 2, some layer 3), socket applications, some multicast (PIM v2), and a smattering of STP and RSTP. I've got all three volumes of Stevens' TCP/IP illustrated so ...

Don't let you being abuse by the inetd services panel shown, it's just proof-of-concept, unworking add-on I've wrote to stress the in- design add-on API... Comments ? It looks nice, however, I'm not a fan of the dropdown list. I feel that using the list like this is abusing the otherwise pleasant nature of this type of control. I like the position of the profile actions at the top, if we really want profiles, we should definitely leave these actions there. ...
