Haiku currently lacks the ability to playback Video CD format.
The VCD standard was created in 1993, and is still produced and sold in Asian countries and regions, such as Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Burma, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Patches welcome as long as they get Haiku running on a MIPS platform.

VLC version from HaikuPorts is broken atm. AFAIK, it needs some fixes to be able to use newer ffmpeg.
You can use repackaged version of VLC from ​http://haiku.uwolke.ru/repo/binaries-x86_gcc2/#En with ffmpeg lib compiled in.

The crash is a dupe of #6803.

Installed via HaikuDepot.
No audio output, crash on Quit.
MediaPlayer works okay.

I've been using NFS4 to mount directories from my Raspberry Pi, and it seems to work quite well (with the occasional hang on a copy -- maybe needs a ticket too). However, on my older pre-PM system (hrev45851) when I mount to a mountpoint directory in /boot/home, the mount appears on the Desktop (with a distinctive "shared" icon).

Having just installed hrev49167, the actual mount works as before, but nothing appears on the Desktop.

Launch MediaPlayer by double-clicking an mp3 file and set the volume as desired.

Click in another window to continue working. MediaPlayer sets the volume lower. Click MediaPlayer to adjust the volume again, the volume returns to where it was set. Click another window and the volume is too low again.

How do you think about locking apps in deskbar just like that in windows 7.

When swapping to the GCC4 compiler using 'setarch x86' all environment changes in ~/.profile are lost. This could be fixed by rescanning the file at each swap.

Tried to playback a 4K UHD video on a 12 core Opteron today and it crashed MediaPlayer. The same video could be played before using 8 cores on the same PC. May be related to ticket #11272. Attached debug reports.

Zipomatic will zip files either individually or in groups, but silently fails when trying to zip a whole directory.

The documentation for makefile-engine opens in a text editor, not the web browser, because it is missing the HTML document level tags.

The file is haiku/docs/makefile-engine.html I'll append a patch shortly.
