Ticket #12009 (Nforce networking inoperational) created
I cannot access the Internet at all with my Nforce mobo's built-in ethernet. It's just loading the page forever, and Network shows me sending little bits of data and receiving half nothing.

Ticket #12007 (I have to use fail-safe video mode on my i7-4700MQ / Intel HD 4600 ...) created
I have a System76 Gazelle Pro laptop which has a i7-4700MQ CPU with Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics. To successfully boot 49058 GCC2 hybrid I have to use fail-safe graphics mode (and blacklist the iprowifi4965 driver).
I do not need to use fail-safe video mode when I boot alpha4.1 on this laptop but that version doesn't support my ethernet chipset whereas recent nightlies do.
Ticket #12006 (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 driver support) created
Haiku's network config tool doesn't list my Centrino 2230 as an available device under 49058 GCC2 Hybrid.
There is a backported FreeBSD 9 driver for the 2230 that I'd like to see included in Haiku here:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=196279
I presume this will also require that the install-wifi-firmware script be updated so it can fetch the firmware for the 2230?
Thanks
Ticket #12005 (DataTranslations: crashes when the selected translator is uninstalled.) created
This problem is systematic. Segmentation violation on RemoveChild() view detach().
Ticket #12004 (WebPositive SSL not implemented correctly) created
I'm getting SSL warnings in WebPositive. Most easily tested is buying an item on ebay then going to Paypal, at which time the warning pops up saying that the certificate can't be confirmed.
I also have to log in to Paypal twice, which is different behaviour to any other OS I've used.
Ticket #12003 (Cannot set timezone) created
In the Time preflet, the 'Set time zone' button is greyed out. Changing from local time to GMT (actually called UTC since forever) also does nothing.
hrev 49058 installed.
Ticket #11997 (Date always shown in American MM/DD/YY format) closed
Ticket #12002 (Menu bar missing CPU speed) closed
I seems that you're using A4.1 which had CPUfrequency preflet. It was deleted more that a year ago, see http://cgit.haiku-os.org/haiku/log/src/preferences/cpufrequency
So please use a recent nightly image to report bugs http://download.haiku-os.org/nightly-images/x86_gcc2_hybrid/
Ticket #12002 (Menu bar missing CPU speed) created
On my Lenovo T60 laptop the CPU speed is detected correctly as Core Duo 1.83GHz but the menu bar shows it as ??GHz.
Also, the manufacturer isn't detected which is kind of curious given that these things are pretty old and common.
Ticket #12000 (Cross-building Haiku with Haiku host issues) closed
Ticket #12001 (ASUS Radeon R5 230 does not work) created
Model: AMD Radeon R5 230
Manufacturer: ASUS
PCI ID: VEN 1002 DEV 6779
When attempting to boot Haiku nightly, the boot screen shows up fine, but instead of displaying the desktop I get a black screen.
Ticket #12000 (Cross-building Haiku with Haiku host issues) created
When trying to build an x86_64 Haiku image on a gcc2h Haiku host, I end up with an image that can't be booted by the haiku_loader. The error reported is "Version mismatch between boot loader and kernel!".
I'm failing to see anything obvious in the jam logs that would indicate a problem with how the files are compiled.
In order to build on Haiku, I use setarch x86 and run all commands in the gcc4 environment.
setarch x86 configure --build-cross-tools x86_64 ../buildtools --use-gcc-pipe -j4 jam -q -j4 @minimum-anyboot
I am also attaching a copy of the log generated by jam.
Ticket #11999 (DataTranslations: The translators configView are heterogeneous) created
I think we can harmonize typographically the view and give a structure to the information.
I suggest the order:
- Name
- Version, Date
- Copyright
- Options
- Written by
- Based on
Ticket #11998 (Wifi impossible to install without physical network connection) created
Attempted to install wifi "firmwares" from Windows per instructions at https://www.haiku-os.org/guides/daily-tasks/wireless and since I'm on a purely wireless connection I installed 'wget' and downloaded the script which - per the Notes section - can be run from any other OS.
Pure rubbish. Windows doesn't recognise shell scripts. Well, it might with a full Unix shell emulation, but that's a bit much to expect. End result is that I can't connect to the internet on this machine using Haiku.
How about someone just bundles up the files in a zipfile for download?
