Art of BeOS programming translation
I have an idea:
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.stprec.co...
We take that and turn it into a Wiki, and then try collectively to edit it into more comprehensible English. I know about three sentences of Japanese but I think it's possible to get something out of the Google translations, especially if we get a Japanese person with good English skills on call to decipher some of the more, errr, Haiku-like parts of it!
I'm learning C++ but I don't think much will ever come of it, but as I'm a philology student by day (Arabic and Persian) and out-of-the-closet grammar/languages nut, I think I'd be able to help in this way.

Noone?
The author has given me a green light and seems to think it's a good idea.
I'm looking into wiki software and hosts, but that's not something I have a lot of experience with. Maybe someone here could point me in the right direction?

Glad you got permission of the author, go for it!
I haven't worked with wikis that much either, but here is a wiki page ;) with information:

The one site I've used is pbwiki.com which I thought was pretty good. Just remember, I have not had a lot of experience with them.
