The OpenSound source itself is not actually in the Haiku repository. The only piece that's in the haiku repo is the media node that Francois created as an adapter from haiku's driver model to the OpenSound engine.
You'll probably get more info if you ask on the development mailing list - as Francois reads those message, and likely doesn't read these.
