Could make porting Chromium to Haiku easier perhaps?

Just the other day I was amusing myself with approximately the same idea. I tried to think about a reason that more big-line applications haven't provided such an abstraction. Very interesting concept ... maybe it's being driven now by the current market context and the broader device market, especially in mobile ...
