Debugging the Haiku kernel or some kit

Hello Haiku developers!
I was looking for a description or tutorial how to debug the Haiku kernel or even a kit i.e. the App server. It's possible that somebody makes a "how to" maybe in the Haiku wiki?
I hope it's possible to do remote debugging via serial cable with a second PC ? I guess to have a "how to" would even appeal more developers to contribute some code.
