Gutenprint HP Laserjet 1012

I tried to set up a laserjet 1012 with Haiku with Gutenprint as the driver. After selecting Gutenprint as the driver a dialog popped up to select the printer. The printer was listed so I selected it. I tried to print a test page. It said it was printing and no errors came up, and yet nothing happened with the printer. Is the printer supported?

If its parallel port type then no. No support for parallel port under Haiku.

It was a usb port. The printer started up fine when I plugged it in. The printer will print its own test page if I push the button, but if I print a test page from Haiku, it acts as if nothing happened.

A bit of googling turns up problems with the gutenprint drivers on OS X as well. You might file a bug ticket.
