hmm I've found 2 bugs, reported them, they got repaired...and my name is not on the list :?
Personally I think that every person who reported a bug should be added to the about box, as help - because they helped the developers.

There's a lot of people who fall into this category. Don't fret, I've submitted countless bugs, and I'm not on there... it's not about fame and fortune; it's about getting Haiku bug free. You will be added, though, if you contribute a significant amount. It's not easy to find unknown bugs.

If you're truly interested in getting recognized as a Haiku contributor, start digging through code and trying to find a way to contribute!
This is what I have been doing - and while I'm not terribly familiar with C/C++ or the BeAPI, it's very helpful when tracking down more bug information.
Eventually, I think I may be able to contribute code to Haiku once I get a better handle on things.

That would end up being a pretty large "About box".

We know that, but - thanks to this great community - the list of bugfinders will be too long and can't be kept up-to-date as much as we'll want.
Instead, you'll find your fame as a contributor in the final credits sentence:
"... and probably some more we forgot to mention (sorry!)"
Plus, you never know, maybe one day a place in developers or even team leaders sections will be for sell on eBay... ;-)
Ok so I am back and ready to help I think. I am once again in a better place and might be able to help out. I will do more this time than last time. promise.

Re: Help?
First register on our bugzilla, then select a beta released component, install it, test it, feedback on it (bugs and test plan)
