Install on Dell Latitude D420

Ok, strange things happening here....

If I boot to live CD it will almost get done loading the desktop and will KDL. If I boot to the installer then use the task manager to "restart Desktop" I get a fully functional desktop. Right up until I kill the installer then I get KDL. If I leave the installer screen running no KDL and the desktop seems to work fine.

Installing to HD. I can setup the Hiaku partition, and start the installer. I get HD activity and CD activity. But nothing from the progress bar.... Have been waiting for an hour now, and there is no end in sight.

I can now say that after about an hour the installer went KDL.

You should file a new ticket for the issue with picture of KDL.

This ticket maybe related (or not) but gives few details.

Anyways, I do not think there are any other similar tickets so you should start a new one yourself.
