Will the nVidia GeForce 8200 support widescreen displays? I know it is past the support for the nVidia driver provided by Haiku (up to 7950) but I was wondering if widescreen is possible with the VESA driver? Thanks.
VESA driver takes the video modes from the video BIOS of the graphics card. If your video BIOS supports widescreen modes then you will have them.
Two ways to check. Boot with safe mode. Select fail-safe video driver and go select a video mode. Those shown are the ones supported by your video BIOS. Or look at syslog which will show your VESA modes too.
