Opt key

Yeah I just came from the Haiku documentation and it keept going on about the opt key. WHAT? Is this an error of some sort as I checked and none of my keyboards have an opt key. Is it part of a speical Haiku only keyboard or some thing or is it just a renameing of a certain key and if it is why not explain it in the bloody manual.

Re: Opt key

If I remember right, opt (option) is the windows key.

Re: Opt key

Haiku's OPT key is Linux's Super key.

Re: Opt key

Hi Linuxgamer94,

as different keyboards have different labels on the keys (think PC<->Apple), there's this hint in the user guide:

"If you're in doubt which keys are the OPT or MENU keys on your particular keymap/keyboard-layout, again use the Keymap preferences. There you can see what keystroke is sent when you press a key on your keyboard."
