Setting up Vision for IRC chats

I need help setting up Vision for Haiku IRC chats..
It keeps saying "Could not create connection to address and port." the port is currently 6667
How do I check to see if port is open, available etc... or change port if need be?

p.s. While I'm at it, couldn't we set things up by default to connect to Haiku chat so newcomers could get involved/get help right out of the box (like BeShare)? When you click on the irc link on the Haiku page, WebPositive/Firefox don't know what to do with it...

p.p.s.. After doing a little research I found that you can connect with BeZilla browser using Mibbit.com http://cbe004.chat.mibbit.com/
Enter a user name where it says "Nick:" and for "Channel" type #haiku and click "Connect"
