SkyOS development stop: an opportunity ?

SkyOS development is currently halted news.

The source code release under an open source license is a the 1st covered option and, if this blog claim is true:

"Releasing SkyOS as open source/free software under the MIT or BSD license. By licensing under a very permissive license, it will allow projects from whom SkyOS has used code (e.g. Haiku) to use SkyOS's code where possible."

...we should encourage them to "make the big step" !

Not sure if that will actually ever happen but it would be nice to see the code released so others can use it. However, I would like to see the developers who were working on SkuOS and SkyOS related software take up some Haiku coding :)
