Vim?

I am a Web Developer in love with BeOS/Haiku, and I need vim. I tried: 

installoptionalpackage -a vim

and it didn't work, saying: 

... no packages installed

bla, bla, bla. I tried for a couple hours, doing different things, nothing worked.

I just installed vim on r1a4 ...

installoptionalpackage vim

What version of Haiku are you using?

I'm on Alpha 4, too, and was able to install it. However, I ran it as installoptionalpackage -a vim, although I'm not sure the "-a" was really necessary.

Dumb question: were you connected to the internet when you ran the command? It has to get the vim package from online.
