what to do when BFS becomes corrupted ?

Hello, After a kernel panic (caused by unmounting a usb stick), it appears that the disk directory has been corrupted. Any attempt to access config/settings/Media/ results in kernel debug land, even from the terminal. Does anyone know if there an app that can fix a currupt file system ?

checkfs is an important tool to check for errors in your file system. Simply add the volume or device name and it'll run through every file and correct inconsistencies where possible.

While it will not fix BFS file-systems these programs may recover a needed file.
