Since when is /home/config readonly?

Subj. Since when /home/config is changed to readonly and folders like /home/config/bin moved to /home/non-packaged/ ? I have some issues with software that refers to scripts that must be placed in /home/config/bin

What's the latest nightly build with writeable /home/config?

Thanks!

Re: Since when is /home/config readonly?

Alpha 4.1 is like the old BeOS way....the nightly builds have incorporated the new package system. Look on the main Haiku-os site for information about the new package system. You should be able to repackage your stuff to work in the new system. You can create packages with the new tool, called simply, "package".....>package --help
