The FLOSS Weekly (Free Libre Open Source Software) podcast is featuring Haiku in episode 120. Hosts Randal Schwartz and Aaron Seigo talk with Haiku developer Ryan Leavengood and contributor Niels Sascha Reedijk about the origins of Haiku, its purpose, the current status of the project and the potential for the future. Of course, alpha 2 is shamelessly being plugged!

Re: Haiku Featured in FLOSS Weekly

Very decent Haiku representation. Also hosts of the show was just cool, especially the KDE guy.
"WE'LL TAKE OVER THE WORLD.... in a small way" :3

p.s.
Can't wait for something new from Brian and Chris @ The Computer Action Show. These guys are hysterical.

Re: Haiku Featured in FLOSS Weekly

Well done guys! What struck me: Giving the technical background is important and depending on the audience/interviewer it sometimes pays off not to go into too much detail everytime. That gives the interviewer the opportunity to dig a bit deeper into a subject which shows that he's curious about things. Second, and more striking: What Randal and Aaron impressed even more than the technical stuff is the passion and attitude of the people behind the project. I think Ryan and Niels were a good team here! "No, I plan to marry rich." Witty, Niels! :) Regards, Humdinger

great interview
indeed, this shows how a bunch of passioned developers can carry out such a huge project, and hopefully this will attract more devs to haiku to make it up to date in a short laps of time with the big "guys".
