was just curious as to what sort of software you will be able to run on HAIKU? i.e will it have its own games, apps etc. Or will it run linux or windows software?
I find that using "bridged" ethernet mode is more successful for running things, at least in VirtualBox. Gives your virtual PC it's own address on the network too, so it's better for server things (avoids firewall issues) like BeShare uploading.
I've now got my new laptop (Lenovo T61) running Haiku (hooray!).
Got BeShare up and running, and I can see the Qupzilla browser. Now "awaiting callback" with your file, bbjimmy.
I'm glad I've got BeShare here while Haikuware is down. Does anyone know what's wrong with it? Is there another way to get the Haiku/BeOS files I'm after?
Anyway, feels good to be back after not using BeOS for about thirteen years!
I am behind a firewall, if you are also behind a firewall, you may not be able to download from me. I have copied the file to the FAT ELK shared directory, FAT ELK is not behind a firewall and should allow you to download.
It appears Haikuware (and BeBits) is gone. Taken over by... Senryu. We need to create a new software repository, or a site that links to all the providers of Haiku software.

Re: HAIKU software
I can't seem to get to haikuware over the last few days. Is there something up with it?
I'm particularly looking for Qupzilla if anyone can help me. Thanks!
Re: HAIKU software
find me on beshare ... coquilletkd.com server and download Qupzilla1.3.5_New.zip
note: you must have beshare installed.
Re: HAIKU software
Thank you bbjimmy.
I'm awaiting a new laptop which I hope to install Haiku on this week (ex-R5 user here!).
I've found BeShare v2.28 on the web. Is there something more up to date?
Hope to see you on BeShare. I'll try running it in a VM in a bit.
Re: HAIKU software
One can compile a newer version, but 2.28 is what I use.
can get it at http://fatelk.com/BeShare2.28.zip
Re: HAIKU software
Thanks. I can't get BeShare to talk under virtualisation, but I'll wait until the laptop arrives and try to get Haiku installed on that.

Re: HAIKU software
Aha, that now works! I've just got Qupzilla. Thank you very much!
Seems that I need to do something with the firewall.

Apart from that, any ideas?
