Need Help in Getting Wired Networking to connect.
I have Haiku 4.1 Nov2012 running on an older Compac desktop. It all goes well except that it doesn't find the wired connection. There are two connections available and I don't know how to select either in Haiku?
Pref>network> chooses a connection I don't recognise........I am using a 'live' CD to make sure it is going to work before installation.....it works OK on a laptop but not the Desktop.
Can anybody direct me towards how I can select the right wired connection?

@kim1963, thanks, your guidance got me going in the right direction.......I found it necessary to isolate one of the connections to get it to work.
You help was essential and much appreciated.
