Disabling font smoothing

Forum thread started by manus_eiffel on Fri, 2008-05-02 23:24

Hi,

Is there a way to disable font smoothing? I maybe one of the rare people who do not like it :-(

Since most OSes support the ability of disabling font smoothing so why not Haiku.

Thanks,
Manu

Eiffel on Haiku

Forum thread started by manus_eiffel on Fri, 2008-05-02 22:56

Hi,

I'm one of the lead of the EiffelStudio development platform (http://www.eiffel.com, http://dev.eiffel.com and http://eiffelstudio.origo.ethz.ch) and could not resist to try compiling our Eiffel compiler on Haiku. I'm pleased to report that I was quickly able to make it work with a few tweaks.

Have a look at my blog entry here for more details:

If anyone is interested in contributing, let me know.

Regards,
Manu

I know there are certain rules regarding the use of the logo, perhaps the owner of that site one JC Hertz (jnhq@yahoo.com) is unaware of them.

BeSly Project

Forum thread started by lelldorin on Sat, 2008-04-19 09:49

Hello all,

i am a admin of the BeSly http://www.besly.de a knowledge base for BeOS, Haiku and ZETA.

At the beginning we translate Read Me´s and Documentations from English to German. Past some times we go over to write our own tutorials because it is better do explain things we understand then translate something we don't understand.

Some people like Begasus of the Belgium user group add some translations of our tutorials in her home language. We have add them into our website and starts to do our own translations (in English).

So the BeSly is not only a "German" Knowledge Base. We are searching for People who have fun to translate our Tutorials or create there own Tutorials for our project. Also we need some people who can check our translations.

Past the death of Zeta we want to get more Tutorials for Haiku, we already done some of them but we want to do more.

It will be funny to get more help of the community for our project. Please help us to make BeSly bigger and better .
