hi,
In fact, i would like to know if there are many modifications to do after applications or games, in order to run under haiku ?
I'm making a rts game, and i'm not using all specific objets like api, windows, ... If you prefer, i'm using simple functions, and all the code is lines (my interface is simple lines of code too !). (the system of files, is similary with windows, in fact, letter like c: become in fact a kind of repertory).
Like i see driver, you're programming alone or you're making modifications ?

i hope early a release version will come !

Update : Is it possible to keep .bmp .txt .doc . ... and use it with Haiku ?

Hello,

I would like to know if for haiku there will be not error to install this OS on my computer (for the futur release!). I tried to install beos 5 dev2.2, but this os dislike my computer (too new!!). My config is (for the moment, because it is first step) :
amd64 X2 5200+, 500 go sata 16mo 7200 tr, 4 go ddr2, gforce 7950gt 512 mo pcix (silent inside), gigabite ga-m59-sli-s5, driver dvd + ~~ burner dvd ...
after, i think to have (minimum):)
amd64 X2 6000+, 8 go, gf 7950 + gforce 8800(768mo) in sli. Too, these gfx cards will run in 16X in same time, not restrictions !!!! :(
Like that, it is possible to do many things in same time, without to be disturb (hDD which is too slow, ....).

Multi-Monitor/Video card support?

Forum thread started by tdondich on Wed, 2007-02-28 21:50

I've got a multi-monitor setup on my machine (One Nvidia Card, one on-board intel chipset), and I'm wondering if Haiku supports multiple-monitor, doesn't, and if it installed on this machine, would it only use one, and which one would it use?

Just a question?

Why is the unzipped download of the current haiku.image from the "Haiku Build Factory" 15 mb larger than the one from Haikuhost.com. Also are the extra files on the Build factory "jam packages" included in the haiku.image?

Thanks.

HAIKU for those of us with disabilities

Forum thread started by worthywoman on Wed, 2007-02-21 19:02

I'm not anywhere near being a developer, sometimes I wonder what kind of user I am... but I'm excited to hear about this new operating system.

What is the likelihood that "pieces" will be included so that those of us who need alternative input/output will be able to use HAIKU?

I don't care for Microsoft, but so far... this is the only operating system I can go for voice recognition software that allows me to both dictate and manipulate the computer.
