Qubit web tablet that runs BeIA or Embeded linux

Forum thread started by Skeletor on Tue, 2005-02-22 15:10

I have a trinket from my interactive television development days that I would like to sell. It's a Qubit Web Tablet, great development platform, currently run the BeIA operating system, but I'm sure someone with inginuity could update it to the current versions of Be or Haiku. We got it originally from Qubit back in 1999 and did a little work with it. It functions fine, rechargable battery, optional USB wireless keyboard/trackball freedomboard. It's really a slick little device. If you're interested, reply here or email me and I'd be glad to answer any questions. I'd like to ask $300 for it, I'll pay shipping for domestic US purchase.

Suggestion and Inquiry

Forum thread started by TechStorm on Wed, 2005-02-16 17:28

Hi All,

1. I suggest to add the following two links to the website.

http://www.haiku-os.tk/
http://cia.navi.cx/stats/project/OpenBeOS

In particular, from the second link one can get a fine-grained view of the progress of Haiku. Good for newbies I think.

2. When I wanted to register in this forum, I tried to use my Yahoo! account but it told me that it was banned. Where can I direct an inquiry to check on this?

Cheers,
TechStorm

P.S. Long live Haiku!

I have an M-Audio Delta 44 and an Emagic/Apple emi 2|6 that I could loan to a driver dev if they are interested. I would really love to see support for the M-Audio stuff. Please let me know if you are interested, and if I am posting this in the correct place.

BeOSBible.com is down

Forum thread started by Jorpho on Sat, 2005-02-05 16:29

I finally managed to get my hands on the ol' BeOS Bible a few weeks ago. I was eagerly awaiting the chance to browse the online content at www.beosbible.com, but sadly the site is down. (Archive.org last accessed it on January 1, 2004.)

Is Haiku networking usable for dial-up?

Forum thread started by lezo on Sat, 2005-02-05 10:04

Is it worth replacing old R5 netserver with current Haiku networking kit? I have a modem dialup connection. Anyone tried that?
