Well.. I'd like to know if it would be possible to use midi-sounds as event-sounds instead of only wave-files as in Windows...

I don't think it should be so difficult to implement, but perhaps I'm wrong?

TeamHaiku

Interest seem a bit low to support the relatively new TeamHaiku over at

I'm currently alone crunching numbers and already in slot 84 (today) but looks promising and gaining positions all the time. I was hoping that we could put Haiku on the map, and offering your spare CPU cycles is a good thing really.

Hmm.. what MIT-license?

Forum thread started by Mr.Jones on Thu, 2004-11-18 19:57

Just to be a bit annoying, but exactly what "MIT"-license is being used? There is several socalled "MIT"-licenses existent, so which one is used? I couldn't find any license-statement anywhere, only a rather vague statement about using the "MIT"-license. Which one, then? :P

I found 3 case badges while browsing FrozenCPU.com that refer to "Haiku Inside"..

It doesn't appear that they are related to the Haiku project, but simply a coincidence -- In fact, 2 of the 3 might be construed as bad.

this one isn't too bad:

eek:

this sounds like another OS we all know ;) :

In any case (no pun intended), I thought they were amusing.

And how is Haiku R1 likely to perform compaired with other O

Hey, for an OS speed isn't the only thing. There are other things that make an OS good, aesthetics, ease, easy scripting, effects and all other nice things.
