Double login needed

Forum thread started by Jack Burton on Fri, 2004-11-12 11:52

For some reason, I always have to login TWICE to the forums.
The first time doesn't work, the second time does.
I even checked "Always log me in automatically" or whatever it's called, but it doesn't work.

Current progress

Hi all. After intially doing some small amount of documentation a good 6 months or so ago I've not kept up to date too well with much of the BeOS community. Was just wondering if there is an 'official team' yet or any centrally organised activities?

not sure if this is the right forum, but oh well...

there's stuff for playing multimedia on beos, but (afaik) there's no apps for making music (like no multitrack recorders / audio sequencers) - is this true? or are there people working on such programmes?

Perhaps the only way an OS can bat windows.

A rich company like Wallmart could get a large team to maek the best OS ever and pay ompanies to port all good games to it, then start a massive advertising campaign and persuade everyone to use their OS for free. Later when it beats windows they increase the price, and give me several mllion for the idea.

Who will "own" my files on Haiku R1?

Forum thread started by BiPolar on Fri, 2004-11-05 23:42

Would it be '"baron" like in BeOS, or will Haiku follow the tradition and pick the name of someone with proven (sp?) "bug-finding" skills instead?

I have nothing against Baron, but I think that maybe Haiku's devs could find a new "Baron" out there, among the not-coders in our beloved platform.

General questions

Sorry if some have ben answered elsewhere.

1. Will haiku look as good as Mac Os X?
2. Will haiku be easier to use than windows?
3. Will haiku run all open source programs when compiled?
4. Will haiku be as good as linux at hardware detection?
