This new name, website and boot loader news is great. It just infuses OpenBeOS, I mean Haiku with new life. As for the name and new logo, I could not be more pleased. I acually like it better than the original.

Could I suggest making a prominent link on the main page, maybe titled "up-to-the-minute project news", to the CIA stats page? I for one pretty much glossed over that news item when it came out, but for all the people wanting to see concrete progress, this might help.

Support for 16 bits per channel?

Is there any support (or plans to add) in the translation kit for using 16 bits per channel in images? I.e. 48 bits for rgb images and 64 bits for images with an alpha channel also.

I see the download for BeOS on the Haiku site, but not one for Haiku itself. How close is Haiku to being available?

haiku-os.org doesn't work giving haiku-os.org
www.haiku-os.com redirects to www.openbeos.org which then redirects to www.haiku-os.org

Just wanted to put in my $.02. The new website is super-cool. Congrats on all your hard work! I'll wait a couple of days before I hunt for bugs while you work out the kinks. :wink:
