BeUAE on R1A4

Forum thread started by themagicm on Fri, 2012-11-16 00:16

Havent used Haiku in a long time..man..this thing looks GOOD! I'm going to buy a laptop just for this OS..very excited!

Got a question.. I downloaded BeUAE, ran it, and recieved an error: missing libraries liblayout.so. How would one get this to work? Is this the only Amiga emulator for Haiku?

GCC to Clang

Forum thread started by andrewclunn on Fri, 2012-11-09 16:27

Well FreeBSD just bit the bullet and moved from GCC to Clang. Now I know there are licensing reasons for this. And I also know that this really isn't a factor for Haiku until we start talking R2, but is there any limitation within Clang (likely related to c++ support) that needs to be addressed for Haiku to even consider switching?

vmdk stops at splash screen

Forum thread started by Kirg on Wed, 2012-11-07 13:58

I've tried various versions, hrevr1alpha4-44687 just now, but always the same result: Haiku stops at the splash screen just after the rocket ship icon is lit.

I found this thread - https://www.haiku-os.org/community/forum/haiku_will_not_boot_past_splash... - but it hasn't helped me, it's more than 2 years old and, if it matters, I'm trying to use the vmdk under Virtual Box (4.2.4 r81684) under Linux Mint.

What am I missing?

as i am, nothing work on my system, when beos did years ago (HP xw6200 2xeon 3200, ati firegl 7200 2screens IIyama prolite b2409hds and packard bell 19inches.
mouse even don't work!!! (basic logitec)
packard bell is warning "fequency too high" i had to swich off.
prolite is only on vga (strange for 24inches)
Then nothing to test or even try to see working.
Better years ago it's a pity but CTL-alt-Del works fine.

favorite programs for haiku?

Forum thread started by rayyu on Fri, 2012-11-02 23:02

Because why not =) Haven't really had any time to dive into haikuware or all the other sites where I can download programs, so can anyone recommend any good ones that they like?

qt-haiku.ru seems to be back again. One of the best news in last time (for me).
