Battery Status Indicator

Forum thread started by augdawg09 on Fri, 2010-07-16 15:42

I accidentally deleted the PowerStatus applet out of my tray and when I click it again it will not go back. Instaed, it puts a widget on my desktop. How can I get the applet back into my tray instead of on the desktop?

Webpositive freezes up

Forum thread started by augdawg09 on Fri, 2010-07-16 15:10

Hey all,

Sometimes when I try to load a page in Webpositive, it will not load. The progress bar in the lower right hand corner of the Webpositive window (when its loading) goes about two millimeters and then stops, not loading the page.

Sometimes it works perfectly fine and other times it doens't.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Thanks!

Windows 7 trying to fix Haiku partition

Forum thread started by tsteve on Thu, 2010-07-08 04:41

Has anyone else put Haiku and Windows 7 on the same drive ?
And if so, did Windows try to fix the Haiku partition without even asking ?

I got 7 installed, and after the last reboot, it just went ahead and jacked up my Haiku partition with out even asking. It called it a NTFS partition, and then fixed what it said was hundreds of errors

G.D. freakin Gates and everyone else from M$. It took forever to get Haiku running just the way I wanted it

If anyone else has had this problem, or knows a way around it. You might want to post what you know before someone else get their drive washed by M$

I'm guessing it gave the screen, where it asked if I wanted to bypass the testing. I wasn't keeping an eye on it. I walked in to see a huge list of errors on the screen, And Windows 7 saying it was fixing them all

I guess all I can do now, is reinstall XP so I can run some disk utilities and see what the damage is

Bootman and GRUB troubles

Forum thread started by augdawg09 on Wed, 2010-07-07 21:52

I installed bootman over top of GRUB. Now, when I want to access my Ubuntu partition from bootman, it says that the partition is not bootable.

Then when I open the bootman app and restore, the configuration is not there.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Have I been entirely cut off from my Ubuntu partition?

Installed Apps do not show up

Forum thread started by augdawg09 on Wed, 2010-07-07 05:40

Hey all,

Recently I just downloaded a few programs for use with Haiku, but when I double click what I think is the installer (in the Tracker it says it is a Be application) it runs but not installs. Then, I used an app called Synthetic Package Manager to install BeZilla Browser. Synthetic said it installed, but it does not show up in Feather Menu|Applications. It runs fine though if I launch it from /boot/apps. Does anyone know how to fix this and/or what I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hi,

Recently I installed Haiku on my computer, but with one problem: the browser does not show up. When I go to applications it is not there. Could this because I don't yet have wireless running yet?

Also, I cannot get wireless to work on my key protected network. I'm not sure what to do. Please help!!
