Haiku Source Code

Forum thread started by BlueFeather on Thu, 2006-07-27 03:12

Okay I have been trying for two days to download the source code for Haiku. Any way does anyone know how I can download it. What the SVN is? I always get errors and it never finishes.

parallel port access & ECP compliance

Forum thread started by breakerbar on Tue, 2006-07-04 11:58

Hi all,

To get right to the point, I am hoping to interface Haiku with the Zektor's ZVG Vector Generator board (http://www.zektor.com/zvg/index.html).

BFS attributes!

Forum thread started by j_freeman on Wed, 2006-06-14 18:31

I've created a simple no-compression archive format similar to TAR, and I'm in the process of implementing support for arbitrary file attributes. I want to make sure that my format will preserve all BFS information.

Debugging the Haiku kernel or some kit

Forum thread started by tomtom on Mon, 2006-06-05 15:22

Hello Haiku developers!
I was looking for a description or tutorial how to debug the Haiku kernel or even a kit i.e. the App server. It's possible that somebody makes a "how to" maybe in the Haiku wiki?

Dvorak Keymap

Forum thread started by mrrc00 on Thu, 2006-06-01 02:17

I'm new here, and I wasn't sure how to go about getting this included in the SVN repository. So, here it is.

Unlike most people, I run a dvorak layout as my keyboard. Much to my dismay, when I loaded Haiku the first time, I was forced to dig out a qwerty keyboard from my drawer of long-unused parts. I looked around, and couldn't find any way to switch to a dvorak layout. /etc/Keymaps/ had no such listing. So, I created one, and here it is.

It's effectively just the American 101 layout with the main keyboard section switched around.

recursive directory watching

Forum thread started by czeidler on Sat, 2006-05-20 11:59

is it possible to become notified if some file changed on a volumen? With watch_node I can only watch one directory. And with on team I can only watch ~4000 directorys :-(

HL languages?

Forum thread started by Cheery on Tue, 2006-05-09 08:17

So far as I underestand, Haiku will have C++ APIs.

This causes problems amongst high level and very high level language users. Some of those languages (like python and common lisp) uses ffi -systems which allows you to write wrappers in those languages for C library interfaces, unfortunately, they are not able to handle with C++ API.
