Forum thread started by cebif on Sun, 2009-09-27 07:04

I tried several times to build haiku but it fails each time with the same errors. This is some of the last in terminal:

greg@greg-desktop:~/develop/haiku/trunk$

I deleted all the trunk directory except for src and did another

svn update

then

cd ~/develop/haiku/trunk
./configure --build-cross-tools ../buildtools/

then

jam @disk

but that didn't work.
Any ideas what is wrong?

Hello,

is there a working jabber client on Haiku? None of the one I tried from haikuware or bebits seems to work.

Haiku on Dell D820

Forum thread started by Cypress on Fri, 2009-09-25 05:30

Hi

I have a Dell Latitude D820 laptop. Haiku works fine on this machine but I can't seem to be able to make the sound card work. Whad drivers should I use for this particular machine? I have a Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) sound card.

New Haiku Install - can't read USB key

Forum thread started by djolk on Thu, 2009-09-24 23:49

I just installed the R1 release on a dell something or other someone just gave me. I can't get it to read USB sticks. I am not super familiar with the OS but it is not listed in the 'mount' option on the desktop and when I look in /dev/disk/usb there is nothing in that folder.

I'm not on the internet at home so I can't give more details (Sorry, maybe annoying post) but I'm wondering if there is anything obvious that I am missing here before I find a floppy disc and see if I can get syslogs etc etc.
