Using Haiku in a Xen HVM

Forum thread started by maestro371 on Sun, 2006-12-10 04:26

I'm curious to know if anyone has successfully booted Haiku in Xen using full virtualization (HVM). I see an older conversation talking about porting Haiku to use paravirtualization; that would be cool, but it's not what I'm concerned with right now.

I've gotten this on two different builds, that from yesterday and that from today after svn update.
I looked at the boot code and the message is coming from haiku. (I originally thought it was coming from the bios).

Help with a failed build

Forum thread started by gps on Tue, 2006-12-05 16:51

Four hours of building and then this:

...skipped haiku.image for lack of <HaikuImage>haiku.image-copy-files...
...skipped 4 target(s)...
...updated 7184 target(s)...

I don't know what's lacking. haiku.image-copy-files is there, 87506 bytes.

I've just installed 3.03 on Zeta 1.2. Two problems:

2) Many of my emails are arriving with the content pane empty, or with a single small box shape.

Best laptop(s) for Haiku/Zeta/BeOS?

Forum thread started by TheH3Guy on Wed, 2006-11-15 21:22

Okay, it's almost Xmas time and I need a new toy. :D

I'm expecting to do some Haiku development, but I will also likely be booting to Zeta, BeOS, XP and PC-BSD as well. I'm not too worried about drivers for XP and PC-BSD, so which laptops/notebooks are providing the most compatible hardware (video/audio/network/wireless) for Haiku/Zeta/BeOS and are still available as new products?
