Wireless 802.11b/g networks.

Forum thread started by Scribbles on Wed, 2006-05-10 02:39

I was wondering, what it would take(if its possible) for me to connect to an 802.11b/g network(and the internet through that really) with a standard pci card, using a desktop pc.

I would be connecting to a Wireless Belkin Pre-N router that works with both 802.11b and 802.11g.

IRQ conflict Beos R5

Forum thread started by brian456 on Tue, 2006-05-02 07:30

I just started using beos a few months ago and I love it. Im having a few probs with it though. When I first start my comp my mouse pointer doesnt always have an outline around it. Its totally white and makes it easy to lose in a webpage. Its not a major problem as it usually goes away after a few minutes. I looked under device manager and I see theres a conflict between my mouse (ps2) and pentium on IRQ 12. Theres also a conflict on IRQ 1 between my keyboard (ps2) and pentium. Ive tried going into the bios to change things but theres no option to change the mouse IRQ. Ive also tried taking the ps2 adapter off my mouse and putting it in usb. Its really crappy this way though and I have no scroll button. So can anyone give me some suggestions on what I can do to fix this? Im also curios why I have pentium on IRQ 1, 12 and a processor on IRQ 13?

Getting Haiku any way possible

Forum thread started by reallyjoel on Tue, 2006-04-18 18:17

I have made a new FAT32 partition, onto which I installed BeOS 5 PE (inside an 512mb image), but since I have Windows XP, I have to boot via a floppy, but it doesnt work. It says during boot up that it can't find any drive with BeOS installed. Any known issues about this?

Boot CD for BeOS R5 pe?

Forum thread started by Scribbles on Thu, 2006-04-13 16:00

Has anyone sucessfully made a boot CD for BeOS R5 pe? Many of the computers I encounter don't seem to have the antiquated 3.5" floopy disk drive and having a boot CD would make it easier to show BeOS to people. Therefore allowing me to spread the word of BeOS/Haiku further :D .
