Removed Linux without removing GRUB

Forum thread started by LordNorm1 on Wed, 2014-08-20 15:45

I just installed Haiku on my machine, and I wiped out the Linux partition in the process. Unfortunately, I did this without removing GRUB first. How do I correct this problem?

Haiku won't finish installing; returns error

Forum thread started by LordNorm1 on Tue, 2014-08-19 23:43

I'm having issues installing Haiku on my notebook. I've created a partition and run the installer, but when it gets to package 11935 (which looks to be "gui-tiling.png") an error message pops up that says "An error was encountered and the installation was not completed: Error: Device recalibrate error". What do I do?

Forum thread started by nuts on Sun, 2014-08-17 18:24

Hi, I've installed the latest nightly image on my Acer Aspire One 531h... and it works fine, but:
what 's the easier way to found more programs and to install them?
I'm searching another web browser (chromium/firefox?), an ftp client and an app like gimp.

thanx.

Forum thread started by DFergATL on Sat, 2014-08-16 02:46

I ran a little program in Demo called BeSnow. Now I can't make it stop!! I have even shut down the laptop, unplugged it and removed the battery. As soon as tracker starts up that damn program starts running again. I can kill the thread, but how the hell do I make it go way???
