How to? Multiple images in Wonderbrush?

Forum thread started by Bruno Brocoli on Mon, 2015-06-08 07:28

Hello all,

I tried to get more than one image file in one layer... but thats not possible as it seems?
The opened image will go to the canvas layer but not into the Layers palette where it would be good to have.

For example one image with a flower.jpg and another Bird.jpg together in one picture...

How to do so?

Does 'Contact' option work on haiku-os.org?

I can't send a message to another site member through 'Contact' form: as soon as I fill in the fields including captcha and click 'Send email' button blank page is opened.

Narrow news site range

Forum thread started by ronald-scheckelhoff on Tue, 2015-01-27 01:49

This really is off topic. It has nothing to do with Haiku.

I've always been an IP watcher. I usually have a window open, showing me which IP addresses are listed as connected. In the past, these addresses were spread across a wide range, even in cases where they were owned by large content delivery networks. Lately, I've noticed a really weird thing. Most news sites seem to have moved to 96.16.12.x at least for people like me, who are connecting from this part of the U.S. Many news sites from other countries are addressed within a very narrow range of 96.16.12.x. CNN, CBS news, ABC news, Yahoo news, New York Times, and others in the US are connecting through 96.16.12.x, and in Britain it's TheTelegraph, The Daily Mail, The Sun, and others as well in the same 96.16.12.x range. In mainland Europe I find Reuters is also on 96.16.12.x.

I realize that CDN networks will tend to effect this result, but I wonder if there's some special reason for the aggregation, since I didn't notice it was so much across-the-board before, even though we've had CDNs for a long while.

BeOS and/or HaikuOS developers or users in Barcelona/Cataluna/Spain?

Forum thread started by zblace on Sat, 2015-01-10 10:13

Hello there!

I will be staying in Barcelona/Cataluna/Spain sometimes in 2015 and work on BeOS/HaikuOS related project... Is there a way to see which of BeOS and/or HaikuOS developers or users are around? I would love to meet them and maybe collaborate.

Tried looking old links from http://wiki.bebits.com/page/BeCommunity
Spanish/Espańol:
•BeOS Aires
•BeSOS
•BeOSCrew

...but they are all off-line
:-/

Any ideas how to find it?
Any personal contacts?

Back to the past: BeOS multimedia machine (help for audio card).

Forum thread started by Giova84 on Wed, 2014-12-17 06:24

Hi, a decade is passed since i had a machine with Pentium 3, where BeOS 5.0.3 was installed. One of the evident things that I remember was the multimedia ability, especially (since I worked as sound technician) in the low-latency of the audio side.
Well, yesterday I installed again BeOS (developer edition, based on 5.0.3) on an old laptop, due nostalgia and the will to see again a responsive system in terms of multimedia capabilities. Everything works fine, except for one thing:
As we can see in the following screenshot, in the Media Preflet of BeOS I have the ability to choose the buffer size, from 64 (which could give me a 1,7 ms seconds - ! - of latency) till 2048. Well: if I attempt to choose any value, this option will switch back again to 512, as if the preferences were unable to save. Obviously i have selected "Use real-time audio", and I've also tried to add the value "export OVERRIDE_AUDIO_BUFFER_FRAME_COUNT=128" to the UserSetupEnvironment file, but without success. The audio card is an AC97 and is using the ich_ac97 driver.

Any hints?
