BeOS Pro R5.03 for BeBox Date not past 2010 ??

Forum thread started by macsociety on Fri, 2010-06-25 18:53

Anyone that still runs old BeOS Pro R5.03 on PPC.... is there a fix to allow the calendar to go past 2010 .

Very shocking a company in 1990s would have a calendar that only went up to 2010.

Anyway, if there is a patch, let me know about it.

Thanks!

NDIS bcmwl5 question

Forum thread started by Snuhwolf on Wed, 2010-06-23 20:43

If there was an active BeOS forum I'd ask there but I know the folks who would know the answer are *here* so I ask this: is there a parameter or setting for the NDIS file where it lists 'RadioState' ?
The odd thing is that I can connect to my AP but then the connection will die after about 2-3 minutes. Using BeOS+BONE and NDIS.

Were there any BeOS Magazines made?

Forum thread started by macsociety on Sun, 2010-06-20 04:59

Anyone ever see any BeOS based magazines made in years past? I heard some BeMagazine was out there but I can't find much info on it. I would love to get my hands on any old copies.

Any BeBox owners here?

Forum thread started by macsociety on Fri, 2010-06-18 16:48

I just purchased a BeBox 133MHz system and would like to see if there are still any BeBox owners here. I am also interested in Haiku on Intel for later but would be nice to get to know fellow BeBox owners also.

I am now working on getting a network card for mine and also update OS. It is at R3 now. I have the R5.03 CD but scares me about the bootrom updates. Do I have to update my bootrom to update from R3 to R5?

Hello

Forum thread started by hopper on Wed, 2010-06-16 03:10

New to the forum so hello everyone.

I tried Haiku a few weeks ago on my older computer. I liked what I saw so far and thought I would join and keep up updated on Haiku. I can't use it now on my main computer, it won't install because of hardware issues (Compaq Presario SR5123WM) I can't remember what it was off hand but at the Haiku website it states why. So I will just patiently wait :-)

Keep up the good work. We need a new and good open source OS.

Audio Video file lessons

Forum thread started by stellarpower on Mon, 2010-06-14 19:21

I've done quite a lot of encoding recently, and thoughts that repeatedly pop-up in my mind are "I have no idea what that is, wouldn't it be useful to know what it means", or "I wanna know how these files work". so, basically, does anyone know where I can learn what goes-on inside a graphic/audio/video file, etc.?

Thanks.
