SoB Pos 26

Forum thread started by HaiCube on Thu, 2006-02-02 17:53

Alright, I know someone beat me to it, however, I'd still like to point out with a new thread that we've gained another slot once again. Slot 26 = ours...

The Crunching gives results. However as pointed out before, we could still use a lot more crunchers. Where is Minbari for instance?

SoB Pos 27

Yah that's right. We've done it again. With competition being much tougher as we go to the top, it takes time to gain positions.

however, don't feel despair, just keep crunching, and we could surely use some more crunchers....

SoB DNS down - easy fix!

Forum thread started by umccullough on Thu, 2006-01-19 02:01

Looks like the pns.net domain has "expired" (sb.pns.net is the SoB server used for queue managemnet) - navigating to sb.pns.net yields a Network Solutions page.

However, the IP address of the sb.pns.net server was 69.9.160.186 - and you can either add a hosts entry for you machine, or simply hardcode this IP into the SoB configuration until they have the DNS issue resolved.

Distributed projects for lower-performance computers?

Forum thread started by umccullough on Thu, 2006-01-05 20:17

I have decided to take my slower machines OFF of SoB until the new client software comes out. I would like to have them running sieve, but I don't want to do it until they have a system to give points to TeamHaiku for the effort. The new client software supposedly will support this when it's released. I don't think there will be a huge decrease in my SoB production as a result - I will be keeping several P4 machines hammering away for TeamHaiku and intend to maintain a ~10M cEMs/sec rate over the next months at least (shouldn't be a problem as the n values get larger anyway).

We have Position 28

TeamHaiku has made Position 28 in overall production on seventeenorbust.com. Thanks everyone for their support!

Look forward to climbing
